Peter Rabbit Digging
In the The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies Peter and Benjamin are grown up and Benjamin has married his cousin Flopsy. Peter Rabbit keeps a nursery and sometimes gave Benjamin some lettuces to feed his large family. In the book there is an illustration of Peter with his Spade.
This Beswick Figure has the last General Backstamp (BP11a)that Beswick ever produced for the Beatrix Potter Figurines. It has the John Beswick Signature. This and the limited/special edition Backstamp (BP11b), are the only two Backstamps that have this signature.
It was Issued for two years - 2001 and 2002.
